Start with “How a … works” or “How … is made”. One machine or process per model.

How to create with [Brand] AI
- Name one machine or process in the title, like “How an air fryer works”. One thing per model.
- List the parts you want labelled. 8 to 14 works best. Add a source, such as a service manual.
- Pick the depth levels. Each level is its own set of five step explanations.
- Press Generate draft. You get a 3D model with five steps, a label and line on every part, Cutaway, Exploded and X-ray views, and three What if… questions.
- Check it: play every step, open Parts and tap each label, and try each What if. Redo any step that is wrong, for [1] credit.
- Send it for review. Our editors check the facts and every Kid version before anyone else can see it.
How to create with your own AI (MCP)
- In your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or any app that supports MCP), add See Inside Things as a connector using [MCP server address], then sign in here when it asks.
- Start a new chat and paste the brief below, with your title filled in.
- Your assistant uses our tools to write the steps, place the parts and build the 3D layout. The draft is saved privately under Your creations.
- Open the draft and check it the same way: every step, every label, every What if. Ask your assistant to fix anything wrong.
- Send it for review. Nothing is public until our editors approve it.
The brief to paste
Build a See Inside Things model: "How a [thing] works". - One machine or process. Five steps, in the order they happen. - For each step: a short name, a one-line summary, the view (outside or cutaway), the three parts to label, and the explanation written three ways: Kid (ages 6–9), Student (ages 10–15) and Expert (numbers and sources). - 8 to 14 parts. For each part: a name, a colour, one sentence on what it does, and where it sits in the model. - An exploded layout that pulls the parts apart along the direction they work in. - Three "What if…" questions, each with a short answer and what the model should show. - Any flow (air, heat, water, current) as a path through the parts, with a three-colour legend. - A source for every number.

Generate and check
We’ll build a private draft you can check, change and send for review. Credits are only taken once the draft is ready.
